Covid-19

To ensure safety for all our clients and staff
1. We will be limiting the amount of staff/clients in the shop at any one time.
2. Longer periods will be left between each client to ensure enough time to clean and sanitise everything ready for the next client. 
3. All staff will be required to wear correct personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. 
4. We may request a virtual consultation to ensure appointment times are allocated correctly.
5. Occupy every other work station.
6. Stagger staff shift times to ensure that we are maintaining social distancing and prevent queueing and waiting times.
7. Reception shall be unmanned, please leave a voicemail and a member of the team will return your call.
8. You can book an appointment either by email, the ‘book’ button on Facebook and Instagram, or via our website www.skinandtonicltd.com
9. We shall adopt a new greeting method and avoid our usual hugs and kisses

As our guests we kindly ask the following
1. Arrive on time to your appointment and please wait in the car/outside the salon. We will call you when it is safe for you to enter the salon. We will not have a waiting area in operation at this time. 
2. Arrive to your appointment alone to reduce the amount of people in the salon at any one time.
3. Your temperature will be taken on arrival. If your temperature is above 37.8C, we will rearrange your appointment for after the recommended 14-day isolation period.
4. Sanitise your hands on arrival, located at reception.
5. Please bring a face mask along to your appointment. You can make your own here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-wear-and-make-a-cloth-face-covering Masks MUST be worn throughout your appointment. If you do not arrive in a face mask, we will require you to purchase one supplied by us. 
6. We kindly request that you do not bring any additional belongings where possible and if needed, please bring a bag to keep your belongings in. 
7. Please refrain from using your mobile phone whilst inside the salon. If you have booked a nail art appointment, please send a picture of the nail design that you have in mind to info@skinandtonicltd.com Please also sate the date and time of your appointment.
8. If possible, please settle your bill via contactless/Apple pay, meaning you shall not need to touch the card reader to make payment. 
9. Please feel free to bring your own drinks with you, as we are unable to offer any refreshments at the time.
10. Please discard of your own rubbish in the bins provided around the salon.
11. If you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone infected, please call to rearrange your appointment for after the recommended 14-day isolation period.
12. If you have visited us within the last 14 days and suddenly show symptoms of covid-19, please call us to let us know as soon as possible.
13. If a member of the team, or a customer that was in the salon at the same time as you, happens to show symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days of your appointment, you shall be informed immediately.
14. If you are considered vulnerable, please let us know so we can allocate you the first appointment of the day, meaning you will be first in the salon after a deep clean.
15. Our toilet will be out of use, so please make sure you go before you arrive to your appointment.
16. Appointments will be longer to allow for the extra precautions in place. Due to added PPE there will be a £2 surcharge on all services.

To accelerate safety & hygiene measures we shall
1. Sanitise our hands on your arrival
2. Wear a face visor
3. Wear a mask where possible
4. Wear gloves where possible
5. Wear disposable aprons where possible
6. Wash and sanitise our hands when necessary throughout the duration of your visit.
7. Therapists shall use their designated section only, which shall be maintained, cleaned and sanitised by them only.
8. Staff will use their own equipment & shall sanitise after every use.
9. Sanitise the touch pad on the card machine after every use.
10. Disposable foot files
11. Disposable waxing spatulas
12. A plastic cover shall replace the usual material cover on the beauty bed to enable easy sanitation after every use.
13. Disposable couch roll will be used.
14. If towels are required, they will be washed after every use and washed at 60 degrees.
15. Door handles, toilets and any touchpads shall be maintained & sanitised by all staff
16. Pedal bins shall be located around the salon, for staff & customer use. 
17. Always keep hair tied back to avoid unnecessary touching.
18. Use of mobile phones is restricted.

Appointments will be longer to allow for the extra precautions in place. Due to added PPE there will be a £2 surcharge on all appointments.
